KUALA LUMPUR: Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today confirmed that Malaysia has recorded a 10th death on Sunday following two more reported deaths on March 22, 2020.
The 10th victim was a 74-year-old man from a tabligh congregation cluster. He was admitted to a Penang hospital on March 13 after suffering symptoms on March 8 and was given respiratory aid before he died at 4.05pm Sunday.
The 9th death case involved a 48-year-old medical doctor with a history of travel to Turkey. He was treated in the ICU at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital, Perlis.
Of the 123 new cases reported, 74 were from the tabligh rally cluster while 49 were from other clusters that were still being investigated.
To date, 46 positive cases have been treated in the ICU.
