PETALING JAYA: A 35-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her colleague and had her body taken to a police station here on Monday by the man died of two stab wounds to her neck, a post mortem revealed.
Sources said that the post mortem showed that the two stab wounds had severed an artery causing the death of D. Tharani, a clerk at a management office of a condominium in Kota Damansara. The murder weapon was a kitchen knife.
Her remains were claimed by her family.
Police also expect to charge her killer, a 37-year-old security guard with murder by the end of his seven-day remand order which expires on Monday next week.
Personnel at the Damansara police station were taken aback on Monday when the man walked in at about 4pm and confessed that he had killed his girlfriend before leading them to a parked car outside where Tharani’s body was found in the front passenger seat.
Investigators learnt that the suspect became jealous and allegedly resorted to the act after the victim told him that she wanted to marry another man.
