PETALING JAYA: Two term PKR Rawang assemblyman, Gan Pei Nei is all tears after learning that she may not be fielded as a candidate in the coming GE14.
Gan has claimed that this is because she has fallen victim to a poison pen letter and that she had not been given a chance to reply to the allegations.
She said she would lodge a report on the matter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and submit all necessary evidence to clear her name.
Gan won the Rawang seat in 2008 in a three-way contest against BN and an independent candidate.
In GE13, she retained the seat with a 9,241-vote majority in a straight fight against BN’s Lee Li Yew.
