IPOH: Healthcare is a priority of the Barisan Nasional government, said Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
The Perak Barisan Nasional chairman said that although building facilities for healthcare was not an easy task, the federal government was fully committed to ensuring the people received the best services available.
“Like the Parit Buntar Hospital which costs RM60 million … some quarters hurled accusations that it is being deliberately delayed. It is not the case, such studies have to be done like soil conditions and the surrounding environment before construction can begin.
“Alhamdulillah (Thank God), after years of lobbying for the hospital, Parit Buntar folks can look forward to a new hospital that will be fully equipped,” he told a press conference after performing the groundbreaking for the Manjoi Health Clinic here today.
Also present were the Barisan Nasional’s candidate for Manjoi in the 14th general election, Mohamad Ziad Mohamed Zainal Abidin and state Health director Dr Ding Lay Ming. — Bernama
