KANGAR: Perlis Road Transport Department (RTD) recorded a revenue of RM45.17 million through the open bidding of vehicle plate numbers from 2015 until last year.
Its director, Shahrul Azhar Mat Dali, said the highest collection of RM12.2 million was for the RR serial numbers last year.
“The highest bid in Perlis RTD’s history was made for RR6 at RM459,800,” he told reporters at the Perlis RTD’s Aifilfitri do here last night.
For this year, Shahrul Azhar said their revenue from the sale of vehicle plate numbers had so far amounted to RM12.07 million.
He said the open bidding for the latest serial number from RY1 to RY9999 had begun on July 5 and will close at noon on July 18. — Bernama
