KUALA LUMPUR: A 67-year-old man was killed while another was injured while trying to escape from a house on fire in Taman Sri Gombak early this morning.
A Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the dead victim was identified as Ahmad Zabidi Abd Rashid.
“The victim fell to his death while trying to escape from the balcony while another suffered burns on his shoulder.
“The house was 70% razed and the cause of fire is still being investigated,” he said when contacted.
The spokesman said the department received a call at 2.20am and 21 firemen from the Selayang and Rawang stations arrived at the location seven minutes later. — Bernama
